Angela Kolar

Angela Jenny Kolar completed a 5 year Degree at UNSW with a double Major in Psychology and Honours in German Literature, followed by the offer of a Research Scholarship to Goettingen University, Germany, for one and half years on Eighteenth Century German Literature and Theology. She returned to University of New South Wales with the offer of the Dean’s Award of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences for Doctoral Studies in Eighteenth Century German Literature. Due to the crisis of Humanities in Universities in the early 1990’s Angela transferred to Academic Librarianship and has had a range of challenging responsibilities in Law Librarianship, supporting the leading Law collection of Australia in the 1990’s of UNSW; project leadership in the translation of bibliographical print to electronic/online records and pioneering Integrated Library Systems implementation at UNSW Library 2001 onwards. In February 2007 she was appointed Campion College Librarian to build a Liberal Arts Library in the first Liberal Arts College in the Catholic tradition in Australia. This role integrates her academic research years and librarianship years in an exciting and challenging responsibility.
