The following charts reflect data for Atla Institutional Member libraries that completed the survey, which was issued in the Fall of 2022 and is reflective of the most recently completed fiscal year (2022–2023).

3. Do you use offsite storage?
Of the 44 libraries who responded in the affirmative, it was reported that an average of 26% of the total library collection was stored offsite, with the average number of volumes being 133,133. Among the other items stored offsite were archival materials, bound periodicals, rare books, art, and unprocessed materials. Some reported that offsite storage could refer to another building on campus.
