YEAR IN REVIEW
The Atla Code of Conduct was introduced and implemented in August 2023. The Conduct Committee is charged with promptly investigating and evaluating reports of violations of the Code of Conduct and determining appropriate outcomes.
The Conduct Committee met for the first time Nov 30, 2023 – Dec 1, 2023, in Denver, CO. At the inaugural meeting, the committee determined initial terms of service for its members, defined proposed qualifications for committee service, discussed feedback received from members, reviewed the language of the Code of Conduct, and proposed language revisions for the Code itself and recommendations for refinements to the Committee’s charge.
Committee members also received a full day of training in restorative justice from Jonathan Swartz from the Zehr Institute for Restorative Justice at Eastern Mennonite University.
