Deaf Ecclesiology

Abstract
Autonomous, indigenous Deaf churches are not simply hearing churches translated into sign language. This article explores contextualization in Deaf church ecclesiology. Corporate prayer among Deaf churches demonstrates the need for understanding and adjusting assumptions about prayer to make the gospel and church life accessible to Deaf Christians.
