3. Do you use offsite storage?

Of the 49 libraries who responded in the affirmative, it was reported that an average of 26% of the total library collection was stored offsite, with the average number of volumes being 112,145. Among the other items stored offsite were archival materials, bound periodicals, rare books, and unprocessed materials. Some reported that offsite storage could refer to another building on campus.
