1 Peter, Perseverance, and Missionary Resilience

Abstract
The letter of 1 Peter encourages all believers – including missionaries – to persevere by focusing on the return of Christ.One of the ways that missionaries can be resilient and persevere through many obstacles is by consistently meditating on their future reward in Christ. This article examines this topic by looking at 1 Peter's teaching related to how missionaries are being saved in Christ, are suffering as sojourners, and are anticipating future glory. Each section considers specific applications for missionaries and mission-sending organizations.
