Author Biography

Shanee Yvette Murrain, Duke Divinity School Library

Shanee’ Yvette Murrain holds a 
Master of Divinity (2011) with particular focus in Africana Studies, the spirituality of oppressed 
peoples, and art from Drew Theological School in Madison, New Jersey and a Master of 
Library Science from North Carolina Central University (2012). Shanee’ is passionate about the 
preservation and exhibition of cultural objects and creating a well-informed citizenry through 
information literacy and live music. Shanee' currently serves as the Reference and Public Services Librarian in the Duke Divinity School Library.
