Upgrading Your OPAC with VuFind

Abstract

This presentation discusses Asbury Seminary's decision to use VuFind as a strategy for upgrading their OPAC for increased functionality and customization. VuFind is open source, which presents several challenges in support needs and technology that the administrator needs to know. It also provides many customization possibilities, making it a significant choice. It is not for everyone, but it could meet some of your needs. Ultimately, you have to make a choice that makes sense in your context.
